Meet Exercise Physiologist Phil Dyck
Phil joined the Tailored Health team in early 2019 as an Exercise Physiologist with a passion for all components of health and fitness. During his Exercise and Sport Science degree Phil was introduced to the idea of Exercise Physiology where he developed a deep interest in the human body and mind, especially how they interact together to form, change and stop habits.
Phil knew it was perfect for him as he has always been an active person trying many team sports, mainly AFL football, and due to a more scientific brain he loves to understand why things work, or not. Applying this scientific mindset to his practice he loves every second of helping his patients to live their healthiest life!
As Phil has always played sports growing up he has created the NDIS* Exercise Program to give those with a disability the opportunity to increase physical activity and exercise in their life and/or to learn any particular sporting skills they want, aiming to increase their mainstream sport involvement, where possible.
Although Phil has recently retired from local sports, due to a significant knee injury requiring 2 surgeries, he has interests in building computers, chocolate making, reading and bladesmithing.
